ABOUT HOLOTROPIC BREATHWORK®

Holotropic Breathwork® was developed by Stanislav Grof, M.D. and his late wife Christina as an experiential process for accessing enhanced states of consciousness for self exploration, personal empowerment, inner discovery, healing and transformation.

Laying comfortably on a mat, each participant uses the power of their own breathe along with the music to enter an enhanced state of awareness to actively engage with their own inner healing wisdom and consciousness, diving deeply into the psyche and cosmos at large.

Participants commonly report having mystical, spiritual and other-worldly experiences, as well as re-experiencing events from their personal and peri-natal biography. Others often describe their sessions as “past life” or sometimes having large-scale archetypal energies and qualities of collective consciousness that are experienced directly. Expressive emotions, powerful energetic releases and deep cathartic experiences are are regularly reported to accompany these types of experiences.

Participants are encouraged to work with whatever material is authentically emerging from within and to express what arises to its fullest extent. More will be discussed at the intro talk about the breathwork experience, though it is fair to say we are all just a few breaths away from a whole other world!

After each session the breathers are encouraged to participate in a personal process of creative expression through the use of art supplies and mandala paper. This is where many participants cringe and say “I’m not an artist… I can’t draw…” This is ok! This part of the process is about having some sort of non-verbal representation of the session that can serve as a reminder or reflection of your experience.

This workshop provides a safe and supportive setting which allows participants the freedom to fully immerse themselves in this deeply transformational process.

There are two separate breathing sessions during the weekend. Each session lasts between 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Participants work in pairs, taking turns as breather and sitter. Everyone will breathe for one session and serve in a supporting role as a sitter for their partner during the other session.

This event is being facilitated by G.T.T. certified Holotropic Breathwork® facilitators, Jeffrey Warren and John Stockberger who are experienced and deeply committed to this work. Creating a safe, sacred space and wide open container for your inner exploration is central to Jeffrey and John’s work for this powerful weekend.
